MIDSOUTH JUMP N RUN RACING SERIES

Car Rules

  1. No vans, trucks, jeeps, or SUV allowed. Cars only. Hatchback cars ok. No AWD cars. Cars with FACTORY turbos and superchargers allowed.
  2. Cars must pass pre tech inspection for safety and to make sure it is legal with these rules. Officials can inspect any car at any time through the race.
  3. DOT Highway sidewall tires only. Recaps ok as long as they are DOT highway sidewall. No solid rubber tires. Tubed tires ok. Bead locks only allowed on the drive tires. (On a front wheel drive car they are only allowed on the front. Rear wheel drive they are only allowed on the rear)
  4. Car engines and drivetrains must remain stock. No after-market parts. No changing air flow system. Battery may be moved but must be secured properly.
  5. Cars must be stripped of any plastic or glass on the body of the car such as bumper covers front and back, head lights, Taillights, wheel covers, and trim pieces. (This will help with less tires being cut down and clean up)
  6. Car bumpers must be stock. No adding metal to bumpers or changing bumpers. If bumper was broke off then can weld it back in with 1 inch welds on each side.
  7. Cars are recommended to have roll-over bars, but is not a requirement.
  8. Cars are allowed to have an interior cage inside the car only. Cage material cannot go through the firewall or past back seat in the trunk.
  9. Bent suspension may be repaired with no bigger then 1/2 inch rod. 1/16โ€œ Skid plate allowed to cover oil pan.

Racing Rules

  1. Each driver must have a car. No sharing of any car between drivers.
  2. Drivers are only allowed 1 car per night. (Except for the $10,000 to win Grand Nationals race. For that race a driver may have 3 max).
  3. Races on weekends drivers will have 1 buy back through the night. Races during the weekdays will be allowed 1st round buy back only.
  4. Drivers get 1 point for the each round they come to the line except for loser bracket rounds. Winner will get a bonus point for winning and if still has a buy back get another point.
  5. No hitting before first curve or marker cone.
  6. No derby style hitting to any part of an opponents car (Accelerated hits made from distance with the front or rear bumper while other car is slowing for a turn or stopped) This is to avoid totaling cars out so they can be raced in as many events as possible. Itโ€™s a front bumper not a dozer blade.
  7. Pitting is allowed. Rubbing is racing.
  8. Drivers cannot deliberately shove an opponents car on top of the dirt berm or wall by contact from the front bumper. If this happens the car will be pulled off and if no damage caused the race will resume until we have a winner. If damage to car pushed on the berm or wall and cannot finish that race then the driver that caused it will be disqualified from that race.
  9. Drivers must have working safety belt, helmet, and eye protection. If not wearing all these during race driver will be disqualified.
  10. If a rollover happens during a race and driver continues the race is still on.
  11. Driver and passenger must stay in car unless itโ€™s on fire or is told to get out by an official.
  12. No fans or race crew on the track. If car rolls or takes hard hit, let medic and safety crew get there to check them first.
